Biomass as a source of energy the biomass is now fashionable that many of the examples said in the first paragraph can be used as renewable energy sources. First used as a biomass energy source was wood to make a fire and cook food. With the passage of time the man used the biomass as a source of energy, especially burning remains of trees, pruning, etc. Today, we have biomass sources to use as renewable energy sources for many different types, although some like fire by combustion of firewood can be renewable but not clean, smoke given off into the atmosphere.   Biomass as a source of energy is classified into three groups:-natural biomass that would be that produces nature without human intervention, for example the fall of leaves.  -Residual biomass from waste agricultural, livestock activities and the industry in general.  -Biomass from energy crops, mainly those to produce biofuels (fuels derived from agricultural products such as vegetable oils).   Here are some examples of use of biomass as energy source.   Examples of uses of biomass as a source of energy - you shell them almonds and olives bones are used as fuel in biomass boilers in dwellings for warm water and heating. Today also marketed so-called pellets as fuel for boilers in homes and stoves. The Pellet is a by-product of remains of pruning, felling and remains of sawmills (remnants when cutting wood). Sold wood elongated pressed in the form of small cylinders. To burn it to the boiler or stove produces heat energy at an affordable price (it can save up to 40%).

ADVANTAGES

Environmental advantages - for starters, an advantage very basic but essential is the convert waste into a resource: an increase of recycling the proper treatment of biomass and a decrease in the waste-biomass energy does not contribute to climate change: its balance of CO2 emissions is neutral. Burning biomass for energy, CO2 is released into the atmosphere, but during the growth of the organic vegetable absorbs CO2. Thus closes the cycle and the level of emission of CO2 in the atmosphere is kept constant.-to use biomass as fuel eliminates waste, waste, waste water and slurry which are source of contamination of the subsoil and groundwater.

DISADVANTAGES

The main disadvantage is the cost of the facilities which is greater than the of conventional energy sources and storage of biomass need larger installations. We must not forget that the calorific value of the biomass is much lower than fossil fuels, therefore a greater amount of biomass is needed to get the same energy as if we use fossil fuels.   Another disadvantage is that crops intended for the production of energy from biomass directly compete with crops for human consumption. Misuse can result in the increase in the prices of basic foodstuffs.

HISTORY

Origin of the biomass energy [edit] a part of the energy that reaches the Earth from the Sun is absorbed by the plants through photosynthesis, and converted into organic matter with a higher energy content than mineral substances. In this way, every year produced 2·1011 tons of dry organic matter, with an energy content equivalent to 68000 million toe (tonnes of oil equivalent), which is approximately equivalent to five times the demand energy mundial.2 in spite of this, its enormous dispersion makes that only a minimal part of the same exploits. The most notable forms of biomass for their energy use include energy fuels (cane sugar, beet, etc.) and waste (agricultural, forestry, livestock, urban, sewage sludge and computers, plants, etc.)

TIPES
Natural
Caldera of biomass combustion in a thermal power plant of 2 MW Enlubeck, the Alemania.Es, which includes forests, trees, bushes, plants growing, etc. For example, forestry farms produces a series of waste or by-products, with a high energy, which do not serve for the manufacture of furniture nor paper, such as leaves and small branches, and which may be used as an energy source

Residual

Waste that corresponds to residues of straw, sawdust, manure, slaughterhouse waste, urban waste, etc. The use of the residual biomass energy, for example, results in energy from wood waste and agricultural waste (straw, shells, bones...), urban wastes, livestock wastes, as slurry or manure, sludge treatment plant, etc. Agricultural residues can also leverage energy and there are plants of energy recovery of residual straw from fields that is not used for fodder for animals.

INTRODUCCION

INTRODUCTION

To make this project of "SOLAR POWER PLANTS" properly collecting solar radiation, we transform basically, until you get hot water and electricity. Thanks to consultations or the internet be provided us take this project forward, and that people will realize that we are building a different country changing lives with these solaresA plants starting from the month of August and September will see my scopes on this page with the help of my colleagues and the profesora.sirve for all ages children, adults and third edadsacare this project forward using a group of fellow students, the teacher and the teacher of systems.
